The AQI scale categorizes air quality as follows: 0-50 (good), 51-100 (satisfactory), 101-200 (moderate), 201-300 (poor), 301-400 (very poor), and 401-500 (severe). Meanwhile, Delhi recorded a temperature of 13.8°C at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The minimum temperature is expected to drop to 12°C, while the maximum could reach 20.98°C. The relative humidity stands at 74%, accompanied by gusty winds reaching up to 74 km/h. The overcast sky, coupled with rainfall, has created a pleasant atmosphere. Unrelenting rain continued to lash parts of Delhi in the early hours of Saturday, with heavy downpours and strong winds causing disruptions. Several trees were uprooted across the city, and in Sector-9, RK Puram, a portion of a road caved in, resulting in a motorcycle and a car falling into the affected area.
The IMD has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in various parts of Delhi and the NCR throughout the day. Affected areas include Palam, Safdarjung, Lodi Road, IGI Airport, Mehrauli, Chhattarpur, Ayanagar, Deramandi, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Manesar. Noida and Manesar are also likely to witness heavy rainfall and lightning.
The IMD has also forecast light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in parts of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
