The talks covered energy, IT, FinTech, health, and capacity building, echoing a commitment to mutual advancements in these domains. The meeting held at Mahatma Mandir was particularly special, with PM Modi noting Mahatma Gandhi's influence on President Ramos-Horta's life and work.

President Ramos-Horta had arrived in Gujarat earlier in the week, welcomed by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel at the airport. The Tuesday meeting marked a significant step in strengthening ties between India and Timor-Leste.

Further, Prime Minister Modi engaged with President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique, who had pursued a course at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
