Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Tuesday (August 6) as investors hunted for bargains after a global stocks rout in the previous session, while dovish rate commentary from Federal Reserve officials also lifted the mood.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.16 points at the open to 38,704.43.
The S&P 500 opened higher by 17.73 points, or 0.34%, at 5,204.06, while the Nasdaq Composite was up 63.7 points, or 0.39%, to 16,263.7 at the opening bell.
