Warsaw: Prime Minister Modi holds bilateral meeting with Polish counterpart Donald Tusk

On the second day of his visit to Poland, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held a bilateral meeting with his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk. Before the meeting, PM Modi was welcomed with a grand ceremonial reception at the Chancellery in Warsaw, where he was greeted by PM Tusk.

In a post on X, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, “A new landmark in the India-Poland partnership. PM Narendra Modi was warmly received by PM Donald Tusk at the Federal Chancellery in Warsaw and accorded a ceremonial welcome. This visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Poland after 45 years will bring fresh momentum to the India-Poland partnership.”

PM Modi arrived in Poland on Wednesday, marking the first visit by an Indian leader to the Central European nation in 45 years.

During his visit, PM Modi was greeted by members of the Indian diaspora. The Prime Minister responded warmly, waving to the crowd and shaking hands with several attendees.

Later in the day, PM Modi is scheduled to hold talks with President Andrzej Duda and attend a lunch hosted by PM Tusk.
Additionally, PM Modi will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and meet with business leaders and Polish influencers in Warsaw.
