Launched with official approval from the CBSE Governing Body and inaugurated during the Prime Minister of India’s visit to the UAE in February 2024, this new office represents a significant leap forward in providing support to the Indian educational community in the region.
Dr. Ram Shankar, Director of the CBSE Regional Office and Centre of Excellence, recently outlined the board’s mission at a gathering held at the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi. The CBSE’s approach emphasizes professional development for educators, with a focus on outcome-based learning that prioritizes student comprehension and application over rote memorization. On Teachers’ Day, the CBSE office in Dubai hosted a significant event to mark the opening of its first Regional Office and Centre of Excellence outside India. This session brought together CBSE officials, representatives from the Consulate General of India in Dubai, and principals from schools across the region.
