Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Monday reviewed preparations for the upcoming Godavari Pushkar and inspected areas affected by water pollution in Rajamahendravaram.
The Deputy Chief Minister conducted the inspection while travelling along the river in a specially arranged boat, assessing on-ground arrangements and reviewing pollution-affected stretches.
During the visit, officials including the East Godavari District Collector and the Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation Commissioner briefed him on preparations for the Godavari Pushkar and measures being undertaken to address water pollution in the region.
Officials also provided details regarding infrastructure arrangements, river management and steps being taken to improve water quality ahead of the religious event.
