Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), located at the base of Annapurna-I, has witnessed a record-breaking influx of tourists following this year’s Dashain festival. Many domestic tourists have flocked to ABC in Nepal’s Myagdi district during the festive season. Since the start of the Dashain holidays, over 3,000 national and international visitors have visited Annapurna Base Camp. Annually, more than 50,000 visitors make their way to this iconic destination.
Mountaineers typically approach the 8,091-meter Annapurna-I from its North Base Camp. The region’s popularity has surged, driven in part by Annapurna Rural Municipality’s implementation of a tourism promotion master plan.
The trekking route begins in Pokhara, Nepal’s tourism capital, and winds through lush forests rich in biodiversity, featuring waterfalls and views of the scenic Panchakunda Lake—a major highlight for trekkers.
