Bhutan PM calls SOUL a “Brainchild” of PM Modi, applauds leadership initiative

Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay described the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) as a “brainchild” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting it as a testament to Modi’s commitment to nurturing leaders dedicated to public service.

Speaking at the SOUL Leadership Conclave in Delhi on Friday, Tobgay referred to PM Modi as his “mentor and elder brother,” expressing admiration for Modi’s leadership and its impact on India.

“Prime Minister, my elder brother, every time I have the opportunity to meet you, I am inspired to work even harder as a public servant. I bring warm greetings from His Majesty the King of Bhutan, whose birth anniversary we are celebrating today. I am delighted to mark this occasion in India among friends, led by the Honourable Prime Minister,” Tobgay said.

He extended congratulations to the leadership, management, and faculty of SOUL for establishing the institution, emphasizing its role in developing future leaders.

“The School of Ultimate Leadership is the brainchild of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and stands as yet another testament to his unwavering commitment to nurturing authentic leaders and empowering them to serve India,” Tobgay added.

Expressing eagerness to learn from PM Modi, Tobgay acknowledged that he came to the event as a student, eager to gain insights on leadership.

“This is an ideal opportunity to learn from the greatest leader in the world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In you, Modi Ji, I see the image of an elder brother who always guides and helps me,” he stated.

He commended PM Modi for steering India toward progress within a decade through wisdom, courage, and compassionate leadership. Highlighting the essence of leadership, Tobgay noted that it is defined by vision, courage, and the ability to inspire transformation.

“Leadership is not about titles or positions. It is about vision, courage, and the ability to inspire change. A leader sees what others do not, believes where others doubt, and takes action where others hesitate. The greatest leaders in history have led revolutions of thought, process, and development. Prime Minister Modi has put India on the path of progress within just 10 years,” Tobgay remarked.

The SOUL Leadership Conclave, inaugurated by PM Modi on Friday at Bharat Mandapam, is a two-day event running from February 21 to 22. It serves as a platform for leaders from diverse fields, including politics, sports, arts, media, spirituality, public policy, business, and social sectors, to share their life journeys and leadership experiences.
