BJP to launch ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to mark PM Modi’s 25 years of public service

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch its month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ on Thursday to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service.

September 17 marks PM Modi’s birthday, while October 7 will mark the completion of 25 years since he assumed public office as the chief minister of Gujarat.

BJP National President Nitin Nabin had announced the campaign at a press conference at the party headquarters on September 9. He said PM Modi’s journey of public service began on October 7, 2001, when he took charge as Gujarat chief minister.

“Prime Minister Modi’s journey of service began on October 7, 2001, when he assumed office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Over the past 25 years, he has worked continuously, guided by the mantra of public service to national service,” Nabin said.

The BJP observes PM Modi’s birthday as ‘Seva Diwas’ (Day of Service). This year, the party has planned the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17.

“It is the BJP’s responsibility to take the message of public service to as many people in society as possible. Through this campaign, Prime Minister PM Modi’s work spanning 25 years of public life — encompassing service, development, and nation-building — will be highlighted to the public,” Nabin said.

“The Prime Minister’s 25-year journey of service should be viewed not merely as a series of political achievements, but as an unwavering commitment to serving the people and the nation,” he said, urging party workers and the public to participate in the campaign.

Nabin will launch the campaign from Ujjain, along with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and state BJP president Hemant Khandelwal.

The nationwide campaign is expected to feature a range of public outreach and service-oriented programmes over the month.
