Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari does not belong to us: ISKCON Bangladesh

Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari does not belong to ISKCON Bangladesh as he was expelled by the organisation, said the general secretary of ISKCON Bangladesh, Charu Chandra Das Brahmachari, on Thursday. The organisation would not take responsibility for his statements and speeches, he stated at a press briefing at Swamibagh Ashram in Dhaka.

In a written statement, Charu Chandra Das Brahmachari said that Leelaraj Gaur Das, head of Prabartak Sri Krishna Mandir; Gaurang Das; and Chinmoy Krishna Das, head of Sri Sri Pundarik Dham in Chattogram, were expelled from ISKCON Bangladesh several months ago for breaching the organisation’s discipline. Therefore, the actions of these individuals do not represent ISKCON Bangladesh.

“We have already addressed this issue through multiple press conferences and formal communications with government and administrative authorities. Regrettably, certain groups are intentionally spreading misinformation about our organisation and making unwarranted demands to ban ISKCON,” he said.

ISKCON Bangladesh clarified through an official statement on October 3 that Chinmoy Krishna is not a spokesperson for the organisation and that his statements are his own, he added.
