Defence Ministry releases Manual of Security Instructions 2026

The Ministry of Defence on Monday released the Manual of Security Instructions 2026, a comprehensive document outlining updated security guidelines for officials and security personnel within the ministry.

The manual was released by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh during a function held at South Block in New Delhi.

Addressing officials at the event, Singh highlighted the importance of strict adherence to security discipline in the face of emerging threats and evolving security challenges. He emphasised that officers and security personnel must rigorously follow the prescribed procedures to ensure the protection of sensitive information and facilities.

The Defence Secretary also appreciated the efforts of the ministry’s Security Office in preparing the detailed guidelines. He said the manual would serve as a key reference for maintaining robust security practices across the ministry.
