Effect of westerlies in Nepal, rain in Lumbini and snowfall at higher altitudes expected

The impact of westerly and local winds remains active in Nepal. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur in one or two places in Lumbini Province and the hilly regions of the country.

The weather in the rest of the country is expected to be partly cloudy to mainly fair. Furthermore, the Department stated that there are chances of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Nepal. Heavy rain was reported in many areas of the Kathmandu Valley yesterday evening.
