Environment Minister Bhupinder Yadav inaugurates India Pavilion, Meets COP President Designate, at COP28

Dubai, November 30, 2023 — Union Minister of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Bhupinder Yadav, inaugurated the India Pavilion at COP28 in Dubai. The theme of the pavilion is “Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam,” reflecting India's commitment to global environmental responsibility. 

The pavilion aims to showcase India's significant strides in climate action and leadership, particularly in the realm of renewable energy encompassing green hydrogen, solar, and wind energy. During his address , Minister Yadav stated that the pavilion symbolizes India's commitment to environmentally sustainable practices. .

As COP28 officially kicks off, President-Designate of COP28; Dr. Sultan Al Jaber met with Minister Yadav to collaborate on delivering the highest ambitions for the Global Stocktake. This meeting underscores the collaborative efforts between India and other nations to address the pressing global challenges related to climate change. Over the next 12 days, stakeholders will engage in discussions on crucial topics such as the loss and damage fund, climate finance etc.
