G20 THINQ national quiz competition reaches Grand Finale

In a bid to provide a unique platform for the brightest young minds and future leaders of the country, the Indian Navy proudly presents the G20 THINQ National Quiz Competition. This flagship event aims to not only test participants' knowledge and intellect but also to instill a profound sense of national pride and patriotism.

The journey began on June 7, 2023, with school registrations, allowing only one team per school, consisting of two students and an accompanying teacher. The competition witnessed an impressive participation of over 10,000 schools across the country, reflecting the enthusiasm and eagerness of the youth to engage with the Indian Navy.

The elimination rounds, conducted in an online format, unfolded in early September, with the top 50% of teams advancing to subsequent rounds. The journey continued through online Quarter Finals, leading to the exciting Semi-Finals scheduled for November 17, 2023, in Mumbai. The top 16 teams from the Quarter Finals will compete in two Semi-Finals, with the victorious four from each advancing to the highly anticipated National Finals.

The pinnacle of this intellectual journey is set to unfold at the historic Gateway of India in Mumbai on November 18, 2023. The National Finals promise an electrifying atmosphere as one team emerges victorious, while two others claim the titles of first and second runners-up. The distinguished jury, comprising service officers, academicians, and professionals, will then identify the three best quizzers who will form the “Indian team” for the International round.

Participants in the National Finals can anticipate unparalleled opportunities, including an exploration of Naval Operations, interactions with Naval Personnel, and a glimpse into life at sea. The winners will not only receive exciting gifts and prizes but also special appreciation certificates, recognizing their exceptional performance and dedication.

As the registration phase concludes, the nation eagerly awaits the culmination of this thrilling journey at the Gateway of India. The event not only celebrates knowledge but also provides a unique window into the world of the Indian Navy for the participants, fostering a connection that goes beyond the confines of a quiz competition.

The convergence with International Participants is set to take place in New Delhi, where the semifinals and finals are scheduled for November 22, 2023, at the iconic India Gate lawns. The magnitude and diversity of participating contestants add a global dimension to this intellectual extravaganza, with the presence of a senior dignitary from the government adding to the grandeur of the occasion.

G20 THINQ stands as a testament to the Indian Navy's commitment to nurturing young talents and fostering a spirit of curiosity and patriotism. As the curtains rise on the grand finale at Gateway of India, the nation eagerly anticipates the crowning of champions and the formation of the “Indian team” that will carry the flag to the International round, showcasing India's intellectual prowess on a global stage.
