I&B ministry announces third edition of Antarashtriya Yoga Diwas Media Samman

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has announced the 3rd edition of the Antarashtriya Yoga Diwas Media Samman for 2024, aimed at recognizing the positive role and responsibility of the media in promoting the spread of yoga both in India and abroad.

A total of 33 awards will be conferred under three categories – Print, Television, and Radio – in 22 Indian languages as well as English. This includes 11 awards each for the “Best Media Coverage in Yoga in Newspaper,” “Best Media Coverage in Yoga in Electronic Media (TV),” and “Best Media Coverage in Yoga in Electronic Media (Radio).”

The winners will receive a special medal/plaque/trophy and a citation. Participation is voluntary and open to all registered media houses engaged in print, radio, and television.

An independent jury will evaluate the entries based on their contribution to promoting yoga knowledge, encouraging yoga practice for mental, physical, and spiritual health, and the overall quality of the coverage during June 12-25, 2024.

Applications will be accepted online by submitting the registration form at aydms2024.mib@gmail.com before the last date of July 8, 2024. Entries should include the published article, photo feature, audio-visual or audio clips, and details of publication or broadcast.

The ministry has requested its media units to prominently display the guidelines on their respective websites, and the Broadcast Seva Portal team has been asked to upload and display them on the portal.

Notably, the winners of last year’s AYDMS (2nd Edition) will also be conferred the awards along with this year’s winners during the ceremony, the date for which will be announced later.
