IIM CAT hall ticket 2023 will be out today; Check details

The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, will issue admit cards for the Common Admission Test on November 7. It was formerly scheduled to be released on October 25, 2023. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, IIM Lucknow had to postpone it. Registered candidates who will be taking the CAT exam should have their application number and date of birth handy to verify their hall tickets.

The exam is set for November 26, 2023. It will be held in around 155 test cities, with candidates allowed to select any six test locations in order of choice.

1. Visit the official website at iimcat.ac.in.  
2. On the homepage, click the “Download IIM CAT Admit Card” link.
3. Enter your login information
4. The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
5. Download it and print it for future reference.

About CAT examination:
The CAT 2023 is a prerequisite for admission to various Post Graduate and Fellow or Doctorate programmes of IIMs. CAT 2023 scores are allowed to be used by listed non-IIM member institutions. IIMs have no role in the selection process of non-IIM institutions. CAT exam is a computer-based exam with 100 questions divided into three portions. Each portion has a time restriction of 40 minutes, and there are no interruptions between sections. The Quantitative Aptitude (QA) will consist of a total of 22 questions for 66 marks. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) will feature a total of 24 questions carrying 72 marks. In the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) section, there will be 20 questions for 60 marks. Each right answer in the exam is worth three marks. Candidates will, however, lose one mark for every wrong answer.

According to IIM Lucknow, about 3.3 lakh candidates registered for the CAT 2023 – the highest ever since the start of the entrance exam. There has been an increase of 75,000 registrations as against 2022. A total of 1,164 institutions will provide admission to MBA courses based on CAT scores, including 1,026 private and 138 government colleges.
