The Consulate General of India in Dubai, in association with the Indian People’s Forum (IPF), organised a special event under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, celebrating public service and community participation.
The event brought together members of the Indian diaspora to reaffirm the values of selfless service, responsibility and collective participation, marking 25 years of Seva (public service) and celebrating the legacy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The programme featured cultural presentations and student reflections on the spirit of Seva and the vision of Viksit Bharat.
At the conclusion of the event, participants rose to give an extended standing ovation to Captain Smit, the flydubai pilot hailed for his actions during a recent flight incident. The gesture recognised his courage and professionalism, drawing applause from the gathering.
