Indian Space Entrepreneurs visits Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai

A delegation led by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe), comprising Indian non-governmental entities (NGEs) specializing in various aspects of space ecosystems, embarked on a visit to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), Dubai.

The visit, conducted under the observer ship program, aimed to foster collaboration and exchange insights between the Indian and Emirati space sectors. The diverse delegation included Indian space start-ups and industries, each showcasing expertise in satellite and subsystems manufacturing, satellite payloads, various earth observation applications, launch vehicle manufacturing and services, space situational awareness, and satellite earth stations.

IN-SPACe took the opportunity to update MBRSC on recent space sector reforms announced by the Government of India. These reforms empower the private sector to independently conduct all space activities.

IN-SPACe, established as an autonomous agency under the Department of Space, Government of India, assumes the role of promoting, guiding, and authorizing the space activities of NGEs. During the visit to MBRSC, executives from the space center provided comprehensive briefings on their past and ongoing space programs, capabilities, and the infrastructure available for satellite construction and mission control. The MBRSC team expressed optimism, acknowledging the capabilities of Indian NGEs, and pledged to continue the dialogue for a mutually beneficial outcome.

K Kalimuthu, Consul (Economic, Trade & Commerce), extended gratitude and acknowledged the MBRSC team for dedicating time to engage in a dialogue with Indian NGEs, further strengthening the bonds of collaboration between the two nations in the realm of space exploration.
