Maharashtra: Plane with Ajit Pawar on board crashes in Baramati, further details awaited

A chartered aircraft carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Nationalist Congress Party chief Ajit Pawar made a crash landing at Baramati on Wednesday, according to preliminary reports.

Pawar was travelling to Baramati to attend a public rally in connection with the Zilla Parishad elections.

Further details about the crash are awaited.

Pawar was in Mumbai on Tuesday, where he attended a meeting of the Maharashtra Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
