Meenakashi Lekhi to visit Hungary, Republic of Bulgaria from Nov 28-Dec 1

During her time in Hungary, Lekhi is scheduled to deliver an address at the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs. Her agenda comprises meetings with the Deputy Foreign Minister, Culture Minister, and other eminent dignitaries. Additionally, she plans to visit the Indology Centre at ELTE University, engaging with students and the Indian diaspora.

Subsequently, following her visit to Hungary, the MoS will head to Bulgaria. In Sofia, she intends to meet the Vice President of Bulgaria, alongside discussions with the Deputy Prime Minister Foreign Minister and the Cultural Minister of Bulgaria.

Her visit includes paying homage at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, signifying India's historical ties with Bulgaria and Hungary.

The Ministry of External Affairs anticipates that MoS Lekhi's diplomatic mission to Hungary and Bulgaria will contribute significantly to reinforcing India's bilateral relations with these nations.
