Minister of State for Defence Meets Indian Community in UAE

The Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, interacted with members of the Indian community during a programme coordinated by the Indian People’s Forum (IPF) in the UAE. The session saw strong participation from Jharkhand NRIs, reflecting the state’s active overseas presence. IPF, which brings together Non-Resident Indians from more than 24 states, highlighted its expanding organisational footprint. The forum currently operates 13 State Councils and is preparing to launch its 25th vertical, the Jharkhand Council. IPF representatives thanked the Consulate General of India for facilitating the engagement and said the interaction underscored the community’s commitment to strengthening ties with India and supporting government outreach initiatives.

The Minister’s three-day programme in the UAE included participation in the Dubai Airshow, the inauguration and visit to the India Pavilion at the Airshow, interactions with start-ups at the Vista Zone, an industry roundtable, and a bilateral meeting with the UAE Minister of State for Defence.
