Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh will undertake an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic on July 23 and 24 to participate in the Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
The meeting will be held in Cholpon-Ata and will serve as a key preparatory engagement ahead of the SCO Leadership Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Bishkek on August 31 and September 1, 2026.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the SCO Foreign Ministers will review progress across major areas of cooperation within the organisation and exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. The meeting is also expected to finalise a range of documents and decisions that will be placed before the Heads of State for adoption at the upcoming Bishkek Summit.
On the sidelines of the Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, Singh is expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from SCO member countries to discuss issues of mutual interest and further strengthen India’s engagement with the grouping.
