National Yogasan Sports Championship concluded in Dhaka

In Bangladesh, a three day National Yogasan Sports Championship concluded on Friday at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium, Dhaka. The Bangladesh Yoga Association organised the championship on 16-18 May in which Yoga teams from all the eight divisions of Bangladesh took part. This was the eighth edition of the championship.

Bangladesh Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Nazmul Hassan Papon and Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma were present during the concluding ceremony of the event.

Speaking on the occasion, the High Commissioner said Yoga is the gift of India to the world, an integral part of the shared cultural heritage of India and Bangladesh. He said that Yoga can serve as a unifying force, promoting physical and mental well-being among the people of India and Bangladesh.

On the occasion, the guests felicitated the winners of all categories from men and women with the trophies.

In presence of the august gathering during the event, Yoga practitioners gave enthusiastic performances including musical yoga, pair Yoga performances on bollywood songs and thematic Yoga performances.
