Pat Cummins poses with World Cup trophy on Sabarmati river cruise celebrating Australia’s record triumph

These festivities mark Australia's impressive six-wicket victory over the previously unbeaten Indian side at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.

Pat Cummins, captaining the Australian team, led the players in celebrating their massive achievement with a river cruise on the Sabarmati on Monday. Cummins, holding the World Cup trophy, captured the essence of the victory against the backdrop of a serene yet vibrant environment.

Cummins was ecstatic after victory and admitted that they played their best cricket for the final game and said, “I think we saved our best for last. Couple of big match players stood up, and we're pretty stuffed. We've been batting first pretty much for the whole tournament, today we thought, it's a good night to chase down, we thought it might actually get a little bit easier. Everyone was pretty keen to get out there. This year will be remembered for a long, long time and we had a lot of success over the winter and this one peaks it all. At the top of the mountain.”

The World Cup champions will now compete in a five-match T20I series against India which will begin on Thursday in Visakhapatnam.
