PitchX @ ESTIC 2025 showcases India’s DeepTech potential

The second day of the Emerging Science & Technology Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2025 turned into a hub of innovation and enterprise as PitchX @ ESTIC 2025 brought together some of India’s most promising DeepTech startups and leading investors under one roof.

More than 20 pioneering startups showcased their breakthrough technologies to an esteemed panel of investors from Peak XV Partners, Yournest, FAST India, IIMA Ventures, and Silver Needle Ventures (SNV) Fund. The event highlighted India’s accelerating DeepTech ecosystem and its strong focus on transforming scientific innovation into viable, market-ready solutions.

Addressing the gathering, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh underscored the importance of early industry linkages and sustained investor engagement in nurturing innovation. He highlighted the recently launched ₹1 lakh crore Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Scheme, noting that it will incentivize private sector participation and fuel India’s DeepTech revolution.

Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DST), elaborated on the operational framework of the RDI Scheme and announced that the DST and the Technology Development Board (TDB) will soon deploy initial investments to support DeepTech startups in emerging sectors.

The DeepTech Startup Showcase at ESTIC 2025 featured a curated lineup of 30 pioneering startups, representing the diversity and strength of India’s expanding DeepTech ecosystem. Nominated by various Central Government Ministries and Departments, these startups embody a whole-of-government initiative to spotlight scientifically advanced, IP-driven, and commercially viable innovations with the potential to make a significant national and global impact.

Startups represented frontier sectors including space and defence, quantum technologies, cybersecurity, health and life sciences, semiconductors, Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, water, and agritech.

Notable participants such as EndureAir Systems, Atreya Innovations, Lifespark Technologies, Noccarc Robotics, and FortyTwo Labs stood out as highly investable ventures. The conclave also spotlighted women entrepreneurs, reflecting India’s inclusive approach to technology-led enterprise.

The event concluded with enthusiastic participation from both investors and startups, reaffirming PitchX @ ESTIC 2025 as a key catalyst for India’s DeepTech future and a cornerstone of the nation’s innovation-driven growth story.
