PM Modi, Amit Shah extend birthday greetings to J.P. Nadda

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended birthday greetings to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, praising his organisational work and contributions to governance.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Best wishes to Shri JP Nadda Ji on his birthday. He is widely respected for his humble and affable personality. He is known for his organisational skills and passion towards good governance. His role in making the BJP stronger is laudatory. Equally noteworthy are his efforts to improve India’s health infrastructure as well as our strides in the chemicals and fertilisers sector. May God bless him with a long and healthy life.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also greeted Nadda on his birthday. In a post on X, Shah said, “Heartfelt birthday wishes to Shri JP Nadda ji, the National President of BJP and Union Health Minister. You are continuously working towards fulfilling the resolve of Modi ji to ensure affordable and quality healthcare reaches every individual. At the same time, you have played an appreciable role in the expansion of the organization. I pray to God for your good health and long life.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined other leaders in extending greetings, saying Nadda’s dedication and commitment to public service inspire party workers.

J.P. Nadda was born on December 2, 1960, in Patna and has roots in Himachal Pradesh. He began his political career with his election to the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1993, returning to the Assembly in 1998 and later serving as the state’s Health Minister.

In 2010, he became the BJP’s National General Secretary and was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2012. Nadda served as Union Health Minister from 2014 to 2019. He was appointed the BJP’s Working President in 2019 and became the party’s National President in January 2020. He currently holds the position of Union Health Minister.
