PM Modi expresses happiness over French astronaut Pesquet’s visit to India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his happiness at the visit of French astronaut, Thomas Pesquet, to India. In a post shared on social media platform X, he extended a warm welcome to Thomas Pesquet and applauded his firsthand experience of India's youthful vibrancy, especially in the fields of science, space, and innovation.

Earlier, Thomas Pesquet, the European Space Agency astronaut and aerospace engineer, had expressed his gratitude to PM Narendra Modi for the gracious invitation to India.

Pesquet's visit coincided with the Indian Space Conclave at the prestigious Sam Manekshaw Centre in Delhi.

Deeply impressed by India's profound passion for space exploration, Pesquet shared his thoughts on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating, “It was truly eye-opening to witness the remarkable enthusiasm for space that runs deep within the country and to engage with India's exceptionally talented young minds, the future astronauts of our world.” He emphasized the transformative power of ambitious dreams, transcending boundaries between Europe and India.

It is worth noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi previously met with the French astronaut during his visit to France in July, where Thomas Pesquet lauded the Prime Minister for his special emphasis on nurturing India's burgeoning space industry.
