PM Modi greets CISF personnel on Raising Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on their Raising Day.

In a post on X, PM Modi said: “Warm greetings to all personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force on their Raising Day.”

He added, “Known for their determination, discipline and dedication, CISF plays a vital role in safeguarding critical infrastructure across the nation. Their unwavering commitment to duty contributes greatly to India’s security and progress.”

CISF Raising Day is celebrated annually on March 10 to commemorate the establishment of the Central Industrial Security Force in 1969. It honours the specialized armed police force responsible for securing critical infrastructure, including airports, metros, and public sector undertakings.
