PM Modi hails inspiring journeys of Padma Awardees 2026 after civil investiture ceremony

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday lauded the inspiring life journeys of Padma awardees and urged people to learn about their contributions.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, “Attended the Padma Awards ceremony today. The ceremony was filled with pride, gratitude and inspiration as distinguished personalities from diverse fields were honoured for their exceptional contributions to society and our nation.”

“Every Padma awardee has had an inspiring life journey. The official Padma Awards Instagram page highlights some of their fascinating efforts. Do have a look,” he added.

Sharing some more glimpses from the Padma ceremony, he noted that “India’s strength lies in such remarkable individuals whose work enriches our collective journey.”

During the Civil Investiture Ceremony, President Droupadi Murmu conferred Padma awards on several distinguished personalities in the presence of PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other dignitaries.

The Padma Awards 2026, announced on the eve of Republic Day, recognise exceptional contributions across fields including public service, arts, science, education, medicine, sports and social work.
