PM Modi Holds Telephonic Conversation with US President Trump, Reviews Cooperation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with US President Donald Trump and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties, along with reviewing the evolving situation in West Asia.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said he received a call from President Trump, during which both leaders reviewed the progress achieved in India-US cooperation across various sectors.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership between the two countries, covering multiple areas of mutual interest.

They also exchanged views on the situation in West Asia, underlining the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region. Both sides stressed the need to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and secure, given its strategic importance for global energy supplies and trade.

India and the United States have been expanding cooperation in areas including defence, trade, technology and energy, with both nations continuing to engage at the highest levels.
