PM Modi shares article on NEP 2020, calls it key to India’s self-reliance and development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday highlighted the role of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in shaping India’s journey towards self-reliance and development, as he shared an article authored by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said that Pradhan had effectively underlined the significance of the NEP 2020, describing it as central to India’s future growth.

“Union Minister Shri @dpradhanbjp highlights the significance of the NEP 2020, describing it as central to India’s journey towards self-reliance and development,” PM Modi wrote.

The Prime Minister noted that the minister’s article explained how teachers across the country are swiftly adapting to digital classrooms, artificial intelligence tools, updated curricula, and diverse learning needs. These changes, he said, are being supported by initiatives such as PM eVidya, DIKSHA and SWAYAM.

The NEP 2020, introduced five years ago, aims to transform India’s education system by promoting flexibility, innovation, and holistic learning, while also integrating technology into classrooms.
