Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held a telephone conversation with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, strongly condemning the recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates and expressing condolences over the loss of lives.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, “Spoke with President of the UAE, my brother Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Strongly condemned the attacks on the UAE and condoled the loss of lives in these attacks. India stands in solidarity with the UAE in these difficult times.”
He also thanked the UAE leadership for ensuring the well-being of the large Indian community residing in the country. The Prime Minister emphasised that India supports de-escalation and efforts aimed at maintaining regional peace, security and stability amid rising tensions in West Asia.
PM Modi also chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) on Sunday to review the evolving situation in the region. The high-level meeting assessed the security implications of recent developments and the safety of Indian nationals.
