Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday thanked President Droupadi Murmu for her warm wishes and kind words, saying the achievements of the past years were the result of the collective efforts and aspirations of the people of India.
In a post on X, PM Modi said the affection and blessings of 140 crore Indians remained his greatest source of strength and inspiration.
“I am grateful to you for your warm wishes and kind words. Whatever has been achieved over the years is the result of the collective efforts and aspirations of the people of India.
The affection and blessings of 140 crore Indians are my greatest strength and inspiration,” PM Modi added.
The Prime Minister also welcomed the President’s reference to the PM-JANMAN scheme and the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, two initiatives aimed at improving the lives of tribal communities. PM Modi said the government remained committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society in the true spirit of Antyodaya, the principle of uplifting the last person in society. “Our Government remains committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society in the true spirit of Antyodaya,” he said.
PM Modi’s remarks came as he completed 4,399 days in office as an elected Prime Minister, surpassing the record set by India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Having first assumed office in 2014 and secured successive mandates in 2019 and 2024, PM Modi is now the longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister in the country’s history.
The milestone coincides with the completion of 12 years of the PM Modi government at the Centre, a period marked by the rollout of major welfare initiatives, infrastructure expansion, economic reforms and programmes aimed at achieving the vision of a self-reliant and developed India.
