PM Modi to address election rallies in Bihar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday is scheduled to address three election rallies in Bihar.

His first stop will be in Hajipur, extending support to Chirag Paswan, the leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and son of the late Ram Vilas Paswan. Chirag, who is contesting for the first time from Hajipur, a constituency won by his father eight times, faces competition from Sheo Chandra Ram of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

After his rally in Hajipur, PM Modi will address two more rallies in Muzaffarpur and Chapra in support of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi is scheduled to visit Takht Shri Harimandir Sahib in Patna, the birthplace of the 10th Sikh Guru Govind Singh.

PM Modi arrived in Patna on Sunday for a two-day visit to Bihar.

Meanwhile, Union Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah will be busy campaigning in Maharashtra. He is scheduled to address rallies in Dhule and Palghar districts.

In Dhule, Shah will throw his weight behind BJP candidate Subhash Bhamre, who is contesting against Congress leader Shobha Bachhav. In Palghar, he will support BJP candidate Dr. Hemant Savara, who is up against Bharti Kamdi of the Shiv Sena (UBT). The Palghar seat is reserved for candidates from Scheduled Tribes.

In Uttar Pradesh, several star campaigners will hold rallies for their respective party candidates. However, all eyes are on Varanasi, where PM Modi is set to hold a massive road show this evening.
