PM Modi to attend second Asia Pacific Civil Aviation Ministers Conference today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the 2nd Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation on Thursday at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. He is also expected to address the gathering during the event, as confirmed by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in a statement on Wednesday.

During the conference, the Prime Minister will officially announce the adoption of the “Delhi Declaration” by all member states. This declaration is a strategic roadmap aimed at elevating the aviation sector in the region.

The conference and the adoption of the Delhi Declaration are pivotal in advancing safety, security, and sustainability in civil aviation across the Asia-Pacific region. They also underscore the cooperative spirit among countries in this sector.

The Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation, organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), will bring together transport and aviation ministers, regulatory bodies, and industry experts from across the Asia-Pacific region.

Key topics of discussion will include infrastructure development, sustainability, and workforce growth, with an emphasis on fostering greater collaboration between the public and private sectors.
