President Murmu, PM Modi extends greetings of New Year; wishes for prosperity for all

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted the nation and extended new year wishes. The PM wishing for a splendid year expressed hopes for a prosperous, peaceful and healthy year for all.

The PM in his Mann Ki Baat on December 31, also shared the new year wish. He said that with the new year amd first sunrise of 2024, we have to resolve to move forward afresh, with new energy and at a faster pace.

President Droupadi Murmu also joined in extending the new year greetings to the nation. The President took to social media account X (formerly Twitter) and wished for happiness, peace and prosperity for everyone in the new year. “Let us welcome the New Year with a renewed commitment to contribute to inclusive and sustainable development,” she said.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also shared the new year greetings. The Vice President wrote, “May the New Year bring in peace, prosperity and happiness to each and everyone. Let us embrace the dawn of the New Year with a resolute commitment to contribute towards wholesome progress and prosperity of Bharat.”

The country is celebrating the new year with warmth and fun amid the cold. The first day of the year started off with a good news. In a remarkable achievement, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has achieved yet another milestone by successfully launching the X-ray Polarimeter Satellite (XPOSAT). This significant launch, part of ISRO's PSLV-C58 Mission, aims to explore and understand space-based polarisation measurements of X-ray emissions originating from a variety of celestial sources.
