Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw visits container manufacturing unit in Bhavnagar

Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, accompanied by Union Minister Dr. Mansukhbhai Mandaviya and Minister of State Nimuben Bambhaniya, visited Aawadkrupa Plastomech Pvt. Ltd., a leading container manufacturing company located in the Navagam area of Bhavnagar district.

During the visit, the Railway Minister thoroughly inspected the container manufacturing unit situated on the Bhavnagar–Rajkot Road and reviewed the entire production process and underlying technologies. He interacted with company officials and workers to understand the manufacturing workflow and offered key suggestions and technical guidance.

Highlighting the potential of the region, Vaishnaw said, “Bhavnagar is gradually emerging as a container manufacturing hub. The presence of an advanced facility like Aawadkrupa Plastomech is a major step in that direction.” He added that the company, which currently produces around 15 containers per day, now has the infrastructure to scale up production to 100 containers daily.

The Minister assured full government support to help the company meet rising global demand for containers. “We will extend all possible assistance to ensure that this facility can achieve its production potential and contribute to the logistics and export sectors of the country,” he said.

Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Minister of State Nimuben Bambhaniya were present during the visit and appreciated the efforts of the company in contributing to the Make in India initiative.
