Record-breaking participation in 8th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha: over 2.7 crore registrations received

The 8th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), has reached a new milestone with over 2.79 crore registrations from students, teachers, and parents across India and abroad, the Ministry of Education said in a press release on Thursday.

This record-breaking participation underscores the growing appeal of the program, which aims to transform exam-related stress into a joyful learning experience.

The registration process for PPC 2025 began on 14 December 2024 and will continue until 14 January, hosted on the MyGov.in portal. The overwhelming response reflects the success of PPC in addressing the mental well-being of students and encouraging a positive outlook toward examinations.

Organised by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education, the interactive event has become a highly anticipated celebration of education. The 7th edition, held in 2024 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, received widespread appreciation for its town hall format.

To further the spirit of Pariksha Pe Charcha, a series of engaging school-level activities are scheduled from 12 January (National Youth Day) to 23 January (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti).

These activities include indigenous games, marathon runs, meme competitions, nukkad natak, yoga sessions, poster-making competitions, film screenings, mental health workshops, and poetry or song performances.

The initiative continues to foster a culture of resilience, positivity, and celebration of learning, ensuring that education is viewed as a journey of growth rather than a pressure-filled task.
