The new recruits will join various positions and posts like Gramin Dak Sevaks, Inspector of Posts, Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk, Junior Clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Accounts Clerk, Track Maintainer, Assistant Section Officer, Lower Division Clerk, Sub Divisional Officer, Tax Assistants, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Inspectors, Nursing Officers, Assistant Security Officers, Fireman, Assistant Accounts Officer, Assistant Audit Officer, Divisional Accountant, Auditor, Constable, Head Constable, Assistant Commandant, Principal, Trained Graduate Teacher, Assistant Registrar, Assistant Professor, among others.

Earlier, during a similar Rozgar Mela held in April this year, PM Modi said, “This Rozgar Mela is proof of our commitment towards the youth of the nation.” Moreover, it is expected to act as a catalyst for further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.

In a statement, the PMO informed that the newly inducted appointees will also get an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, which is an online orientation course for all new appointees in various government departments.

Generating employment is one of India’s key priorities

In recent years, the government has been implementing various policies and initiatives for employment generation. The government recognises that employment generation is crucial for inclusive economic growth, poverty reduction, and social stability. Notably, the investment made by the government in infrastructure projects has witnessed a sharp increase, which in turn is creating and generating employment in various related sectors as well as an increase in human resources requirements like engineers, technicians, accountants, and labourers, among others.

Initiatives like Skill India, Startup India, and Make in India, among various others, are playing an instrumental role in employment generation. In addition, India’s startup ecosystem is also immensely contributing to generating employment.
