Cricket Australia (CA) has selected three Indian-origin players, Hasrat Gill, Samara Dulvin and Ribya Syan in their 15-member U-19 women’s squad for the upcoming tri-series against New Zealand and Sri Lanka, set to begin on September 19 in Brisbane.
Dulvin is a right-handed batter who has played for the Australia U-19 against England earlier, while Syan is a right-arm fast-bowling all-rounder hailing from Victoria. Gill is also a pace bowler who has represented Australia in U-19 cricket against England and Sri Lanka.
The Youth Selection Panel has chosen 15-player squads for each format (T20 and 50-over) for the tri-series in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Former Australian cricketer Kristen Beams has been appointed as the head coach of the side.
The tri-series will see every team play four T20s and two one-day internationals.
