The UAE has announced a fresh humanitarian assistance package for people affected by the ongoing crisis in Lebanon, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to supporting the Lebanese people. The assistance is announced under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The aid, to be delivered through the UAE Aid Agency, includes food supplies and essential relief materials. The Agency will coordinate with Lebanon’s Higher Relief Council to ensure the timely distribution of assistance and help meet urgent humanitarian needs.
Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, said the UAE remains committed to providing rapid humanitarian assistance during crises and disasters. He said the initiative supports affected communities by ensuring access to essential needs such as food, medicine, clothing and shelter, while also contributing to early recovery efforts.
Lebanese Ambassador to the UAE, Tariq Hassan Munaymina, thanked the UAE leadership, government and people for their continued solidarity with Lebanon. He said, “The UAE has consistently stood by the Lebanese people, helping the country address urgent humanitarian needs while supporting peace, stability, development and prosperity.”
The latest assistance builds on the UAE’s long record of humanitarian and development support for Lebanon, including the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign launched during previous crises.
The announcement comes as the UAE has also eased travel restrictions to Lebanon. From July 7, 2026, UAE citizens are permitted to travel to Lebanon after several years, subject to mandatory registration through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Twajudi service and compliance with official travel guidelines. The move reflects improving bilateral relations while ensuring the safety and security of Emirati travellers.
