Yoga at the Dubai frame: Indian community Counts down for international day of yoga

Members of the Indian People’s Forum’s Dubai chapter came together at the Dubai Frame to perform a series of yoga asanas, marking the countdown to International Day of Yoga 2026. The session, held against the backdrop of one of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks, highlighted yoga’s role in promoting physical health, mental strength, and inner harmony.

The event reflects the growing engagement of the Indian community in the UAE with yoga, and carried a message of unity and wellness ahead of June 21 – the day observed globally as International Day of Yoga. The session was held as part of the build-up to International Day of Yoga, observed every year on June 21. This year marks the twelfth global edition, with the theme being “Yoga for Wellness, Wisdom, and World Peace.”

Participants said the choice of the Dubai Frame as a venue was deliberate , a visual statement connecting India’s ancient wellness tradition with the modern, forward-looking spirit of the UAE.
