‘Google can work with our talented students and professionals’: PM Modi after meeting Sundar Pichai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said he discussed India’s rapid progress in artificial intelligence and opportunities for collaboration with Google CEO Sundar Pichai during a meeting held on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi.

“It was a delight to meet Mr. Sundar Pichai on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit in Delhi. We spoke about the work India is doing in AI and how Google can collaborate with our talented students and professionals in this field,” PM Modi said in a post on X.

On his arrival in India, Pichai also shared a message on X, saying, “Nice to be back in India for the AI Impact Summit – a very warm welcome as always, and the papers looked great too.”

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 – the first global AI summit to be hosted in the Global South – has drawn participation from over 110 countries and 30 international organisations, including around 20 heads of state or government and nearly 45 ministers.
