Speaking at Veer Bal Diwas in New Delhi, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for a collective effort, stating that “Sabka Prayas” (Everyone's Effort) is essential for fostering a capable and strong youth power.
Addressing the youth directly, Modi highlighted the significance of prioritizing health for achieving desired life outcomes. He advised the younger generation to establish ground rules encompassing physical exercise, digital detox, mental fitness, sufficient sleep, and the inclusion of nutrient-rich elements like Shri Anna or millets in their diet.
Referring to India as a powerhouse of youth, Modi underlined the unprecedented opportunities the next 25 years hold for the country. He assured that the government has a clear roadmap, vision, and policy to fulfill the dreams of today's youth, spanning economics, science, research, sports, and overall national development.
Celebrating the spirit of Veer Bal Diwas, which commemorates the martyrdom of Sri Guru Gobind Singh's sons, Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, Modi stressed the importance of introducing the younger generation to historical events such as the battle of Chamkaur and Sarhind.
Reflecting on India's evolving global stature, the Prime Minister noted that the world now acknowledges India as a land of opportunities. He highlighted the country's pivotal role in addressing global challenges across various domains, echoing his earlier call from the Red Fort – “Yahi Samay hai, Sahi Samay Hai” (This is the right time).
Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, speaking at the event, emphasized that initiatives like 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter) have transcended policy to become a collective intent. She encouraged the gathered children, recognizing their immense talent, to be courageous and determined for the well-being of the country.
Veer Bal Diwas, observed on December 26th, was announced by Prime Minister Modi last year on the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The government has organized participative programs nationwide, including digital exhibitions in schools, childcare institutions, and online competitions, to educate citizens about the exemplary courage of Sahibzades. The Prime Minister also flagged off a march-past by youth on this significant occasion, symbolizing a united stand against challenges facing the nation.
