Govt approves 17 projects worth ₹7,172 crore under Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on Monday cleared 17 additional proposals under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). PLI scheme for food processing sector creates 2.5 lakh jobs, benefits nine lakh farmers

The Centre’s production linked incentive (PLI) scheme for the food processing sector has succeeded in attracting investments to the tune of Rs 7,000 crore and creating over 2.5 lakh jobs so far, according to a senior official of the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI).
