Veer Baal Diwas witnesses over 52 lakh participants engaging in diverse activities

In a collaborative effort, the Ministry of Education and MyGov organized an interactive online quiz, curated by CBSE, attracting over 1.3 lakh participants from all corners of the country.

The live telecast of the program engaged students and teachers nationwide, fostering a collective sense of pride and unity. The active involvement of educational institutions during Veer Baal Diwas underscored the importance of commemorating such acts of valor for future generations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself took part in a program at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, where he paid homage to the sacrifices of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the younger sons of the tenth Sikh Guru, Gobind Singh.

During the program, the Prime Minister witnessed a recital and three martial arts displays performed by children, emphasizing the significance of remembering the sacrifices of Veer Sahibzade. He remarked that India is entering a new chapter in the Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal, drawing inspiration from the valiant acts of the Sahibzades.

“Veer Baal Diwas” is observed annually on December 26th to honor the bravery and sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh. Introduced by the Central government last year, this commemoration pays tribute to the heroic deeds of these young warriors.
